About the Fountain Hospice Service
Fountain Hospice and Palliative Care Services is home based charitable service that offers support to people at the end of life. We aim to create a holistic treatment programme, offering a wide range of complementary therapies, tailored for and centred around the individual and their family.
The Fountain Hospice’s aim is to provide comfort and quality of life for people who are dying, as well as support for their families. We hope to provide the tools and support to relieve the fear and suffering associated with loss.
Death, illness and loss are a natural part of life. They occur in everybody's life, regardless of wealth, social status, religion or race. For the majority of people they present stressful, emotional and difficult times, which can cause confusion and deep grief.
There is a natural fear of dying which includes the insecurity of separation from loved ones. Family members suffer from the strain of caring, financial pressures, fear of loss and loneliness, as well as general insecurity and uncertainty surrounding the death of a loved one.
Our ethos is rooted in the values of respect, compassionate service, personal empowerment and universal responsibility.
Fountain Hospice and Palliative Care Services is dependant on donations to continue to exist. We are endorsed as a "Deductible Gift Recipient" under Subdivision 30-BA of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
